Not quiet 1.0 yet since WotLK hasn’t come out yet. So this is just an introductory post to what is to come, who the hell I am, and what I’m here to do.
First of all, who the hell I am:
I’m relatively new to Tankspot as the only tank I’ve ever used was a feral druid and really didn’t know this place existed if it weren’t for Lore. I wish I knew about this place earlier as all the hard knocks I went through to learn how to be a tank wouldn’t have been so hard. But then again, the druid was never really my main claim to fame (not that I was famous to begin with….). I have been a Tauren Hunter since day 1 of release. Yes, I have been called masochistic for sticking with the class from the beginning, but I feel all that waiting paid off as Hunters are incredibly fun to play now. That being said, I am Raien from Eredar. I’m one of the few jackasses on the server with enough sense to put up with Lore’s shit and even marry him.
So what am I doing here on Tankspot if I’m not a tank. Plain and simple: I’m switching to a Death Knight. I got my hands on being able to play one in the beta since my first taste of it was one someone else’s account and all I could play was a DK. Full and wholeheartedly fell in love with the class. It’s versatile, fun, challenging and most of all: Different. Don’t get me wrong, I will always love my Hunter. But the “up-in-your-face” action was something that grew on me during my time playing a feral druid (as well as my poor attempt at a Prot Warrior). I enjoyed the play style of the Death Knight so much that I have chosen to play that over my beloved Hunter. My goal here is to (and I hope I don’t screw this up too much) provide information on Death Knight Tanking, DPS, Play Style, Gear Choices, and other miscellaneous crap that comes with being “Death in a Tin Can”.
So all in all, that’s what I’m here to do. Hopefully this doesn’t become an abandoned project of mine because this is something new. I tried to make a Hunter Blog, but there are so many of those and it’s been done to death.
